All-on-4 or All-on-6: Compare the Whole Arch
Four and six describe the proposed number of implants supporting an arch. A useful comparison also explains the condition of that jaw, the bridge, the temporary arrangement and the maintenance plan. Ask your clinician to compare two complete proposals using the same starting point.

Compare the Assessment, Not Just the Number
Medico Clinic lists both All-on-4 and All-on-6 in its offered treatments. The names describe different implant-count approaches, but the number alone does not tell you why a particular plan is appropriate. Ask the clinician to explain the findings and the proposed restoration.
A useful comparison identifies which jaw is being treated, the intended implant system, temporary and final stages and any preparatory treatment. It also explains what alternatives have been considered. Avoid treating a general comparison chart as an individual recommendation.
Ask the Same Questions of Each Proposal
What is the aim of treatment? What needs replacing and what is being preserved? What does the assessment show? Which system and restoration are proposed? Which parts of the plan are provisional? These questions make the comparison more specific than a claim that one option is always better.
Ask the clinician to explain any difference in the number of visits, the restoration stages and the follow-up arrangements. A same-day description should be clarified: does it concern a temporary restoration, and which clinical conditions would need to be met?
Compare What the Price Includes
Ask for itemised quotations with the same level of detail. Separate implants and components, restorations, investigations, additional procedures, travel arrangements and aftercare. A difference in the headline total may reflect a different scope.
Neither this page nor the treatment name promises a particular result, a fixed number of days or eligibility for either approach.

From Implant Planning to Your Final Tooth
Use these four milestones to understand the proposed sequence. Your appointment dates should follow the clinical plan, with any additional procedures shown separately.

Understand the starting point
Bring your dental history and explain what feels difficult about the missing tooth or existing restoration. Ask the dentist to show you which findings support the recommendation and which alternatives remain possible.

Agree the complete specification
Review the tooth positions, proposed implant system, connecting components and final restoration together. Keep a dated copy of the quote and identify any items that depend on the in-person examination.

Plan placement and reviews
Have the team explain the placement appointment, the proposed temporary arrangement and the purpose of each review. Agree how a change in the schedule would be communicated before booking return travel.

Complete the restoration and handover
Review the final tooth or bridge with the treating dentist. Before leaving, request your component records, individual cleaning instructions and a named contact for both planned follow-up and an unexpected problem.

More Questions, Answered
Is All-on-6 automatically better than All-on-4?
The number alone cannot decide what is appropriate for you. Ask the treating clinician to explain the recommendation for your jaw and compare the complete restorative plans, including their limitations.
Does full arch mean the entire mouth?
Clarify that explicitly. A full arch refers to the upper or lower set of teeth. A plan for both jaws should identify the work and costs for each arch.
Will the final teeth be fitted on the first trip?
Ask the clinic to distinguish any temporary restoration from the final bridge and explain the proposed timing. Your written itinerary should reflect the actual clinical stages rather than an assumption about the treatment name.
